ATAL-99 was co-located with the AAAI-99 conference, held in Orlando, Florida, in July 1999. About 75 papers were received, and the workshop was attended by about 50 people. Invited speakers were John Pollock and Sarit Kraus; the workshop included panels on agent-oriented software engineering, and the empirical evaluation of agent systems.
The proceedings were published under the title Intelligent Agents V, as volume 1757 of Springer-Verlag's Lecture Notes in AI series.
